Luciana was brought up at home in Rome by her parents - Luciana's dad was Manlio Paoluzzi, an Italian army officer and her mother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was at one time Benito Mussolini's lover's wives. There's no record of her having any siblings. Luciana graduated from a high school in the local area in 1955. She then studied naval engineering in Milan in the Scientific Academy of Milan. Luciana, the only female in her class, was the first complete her studies. In two years, she started her modeling career. Soon after, she got a chance to act in Three Coins in the Fountain when she was in Rome visiting a close daughter of her father's friend. Brett Halsey is an actress who was her husband at first. The couple got married in the year 1960 and made the movie Return to the Peyton Palace. Luciana was given custody of the film when the couple split a few years later. Charles became a baby. Luciana was in a relationship with Tony Athony from 1962 and 1970. He is an actor/producer who was influenced to create and write The Spaghetti Western hybrid based on her role as Green Slime.
