Lisa Olivia Munn was conceived in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and also has Chinese roots, but her father Winston Barrett Munn comes from an American family. Olivia was just two years old when her parents divorced. She was raised by her stepfather and mother, both of whom who was an United States Air Force member. She was raised primarily in Tokyo, Japan, even although the family moved often. In this period, Olivia appeared in several local theater productions. In later years, she became a Japanese model. Olivia relocated from the United States back to Los Angeles and pursued her dream of becoming an actor. Through a string of small parts, Olivia landed a role after she was cast in the role of Mily Acua on the Hawaii filming of the TV program Beyond the Break 2006 and the receptionist for Rob Schneider. She hosts the podcasts "Formula D", "The Daily Nut" along with "The Daily Nut". She enjoys surfing, which she continues practicing since the television series Beyond the Break (2006). Her black belt is in the martial art of taekwondo. When she was two, her mother got married. She was married a US Air Force serviceman. Though the family relocating many times throughout her life, she was born at Tokyo, Japan, where her stepfather was stationed by the military. She studied journalism in the University of Oklahoma and also minored Japanese, dramatic arts and drama.
