Lita Rossana Ford (also known in the form of Lita Ford) is a British born American singer on guitar who took the lead in The Runaways a female hard rock group in the 1970s. They gained attention for their provocative lyrics and punk-inspired fashion. The group wasn't successful on the scene in their home country of the United States, it gained huge popularity abroad. Following the split of the group in 1979, Ford began a successful solo career in the world of heavy metal. Her debut album as a solo artist was called 'Dancin' on the Edge and was followed by the album Out for Blood. Ford went missing for several years from the music scene after the two albums didn't receive much attention. Her biggest hit, 'Lita' came out in 1989. The single 'Kiss Me Deadly and the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' both became huge success. However, the success of her career wasn't last long and after a few years she disappeared. In 1995 she debuted 'Black' and 15 years later , 'Wicked Wonderland. The album "Time Capsule" was released in the year 2016 by her. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the award of a Certified Guitar Legend.
