Pickler who was born Kellie Dawn Pickler in June of 1986, went through an extremely difficult childhood. In order to leave her abusive boyfriend, Pickler's mother left her when she was barely 2 years old. Pickler was reunited with her mother in 1995, when she took over custody. It was, however, not the best time for her. So when she was 12 the court gave back Pickler to her grandparents who took care of her until she reached adulthood. Pickler could not be a parent to her children in their absence. The mother of three confessed to her that in absence of both parents, Pickler's schedule was so busy that she could not take classes. In the meantime, she began learning how to care for her family earlier in stage. Pickler was part of her high school's and middle school's cheerleading squad. North Stanly High School graduated in the year 2004. Pickler also tried her hand in the world of beauty. She was once named Miss Stanly County.
